Aurane Waters (The Bastard of Driftmark)

Bastard half-brother to Lord Monford, called the Bastard of Driftmark, taken prisoner at the Blackwater after his half-brother went down with the Pride of Driftmark. A handsome silver-haired youth in whom Queen Cersei thought she saw a younger Rhaegar, he won her favour in the months after Tywin's funeral, was made Master of Ships in despite of Ser Jaime's objections, and was given the building of a great new fleet of dromonds on the Blackwater Rush to break House Tyrell, should it come to that. When the High Sparrow took the queen for her sins, however, Aurane Waters slipped his moorings in the night, sailed his finished dromonds out of the bay, and was last reported flying his own seahorse banner in the Stepstones, where Grand Maester Pycelle believes he means to set up as a pirate.
