Daeron Targaryen (The Drunken)

Eldest son of Maekar, called Daeron the Drunken. Dreamy, soft-hearted, and devoted to his wineskin; he fathered a single daughter, Vaella, on a common woman before being carried off by the pox at nineteen. His daughter being simple of mind, his line died with her, and his brother Aerion's pretensions and Aegon's reluctant crown followed in the gap.
