Daeron Velaryon

Second son of Ser Vaemond Velaryon, cousin to Lord Alyn Velaryon called the Oakenfist. He wed Lady Hazel of House Harte, who bore him a daughter, Daenaera, before being carried off by the Winter Fever. Daeron sailed with his cousin Alyn in the great Stepstones campaign of 133 AC and fell in the fighting there, leaving the six-year-old Daenaera an orphan to be raised at Lord Alyn's hearth on Driftmark, until she was put forward at the Maiden's Day Ball of that same year and chosen by King Aegon III to be his second wife and queen.
