Duram Bar Emmon

Lord of Sharp Point and head of House Bar Emmon at the opening of A Clash of Kings, a feeble, fat boy of fifteen and one of the small lords of the narrow sea to come ashore on Dragonstone when Stannis Baratheon raised his banners for the Iron Throne. Lord Alester Florent counted him in the list of houses sworn to the cause; Stannis himself put little weight on the boy's spears, and less on the boy. Sharp Point sat out the larger war that followed, holding its swordfish banner against the storms of Blackwater Bay while its lord waited in the hall his ancestors had held since the coming of the Andals.
