Son of Lord Willam Stark by his second wife Melantha Blackwood, and Lord of Winterfell after his father fell at Long Lake in 226 AC. He wed Lady Marna Locke of Oldcastle and had of her a single son: Rickard, who would in time be the lord who lost his head and his eldest son to the madness of King Aerys II. The chronicles preserve little of Edwyle himself; his lordship fell between the wildling invasions of Raymun Redbeard and the long, slow quiet that preceded the reign of the Mad King.
