Ronald Connington

Cousin to the attainted Jon Connington, and the man King Robert chose to inherit Griffin's Roost after the elder branch was cast down. Robert took most of the Connington lands for the crown and for loyal stormlords, and Ronald was permitted to keep only the Roost itself, with the diminished style "Knight of Griffin's Roost" in place of his cousin's lordship. From the cliff above the Cape he raised three sons, the eldest of whom, Ronnet, holds the seat after him.
