Royce Baratheon

Posthumous son of Lord Borros Baratheon by his lady Elenda Caron, born at Storm's End seven days after his father fell in the mud of the kingsroad to Lord Kermit Tully. Lord Borros had wished to call the boy Aegon for the green king his sister Cassandra had nearly wed, but Elenda named the babe after her own father Lord Royce Caron of Nightsong in defiance of the dead lord's word, and so the heir to the storm coast came into the world a Royce while his father's body still lay unburied. He succeeded as Lord of Storm's End and Lord Paramount of the Stormlands in his cradle, with his mother as regent and the Caron host at her back, and ruled in name through the closing of the Dance and the regency of his cousin King Aegon III. The young lord took a fever in 145 AC at the age of fourteen and died within a week, having never wed, leaving the seat to pass sideways from his line into the keeping of a Baratheon cadet.
