Only son of Ser Tygett Lannister and Darlessa Marbrand, orphaned young when his father took the pox, and squired at King's Landing to his uncle by marriage, King Robert Baratheon, alongside his cousin Lancel. Wed in the cradle to the infant Ermesande Hayford, sole heir of her line, so that the lions might swallow her lands; the older squires named him Wet Nurse for it. On the day Princess Myrcella was sent to Dorne the smallfolk rose in the bread riots of King's Landing, and Tyrek was pulled from his horse and lost in the press, neither corpse nor ransom ever found. Lord Tywin set Ser Addam Marbrand and the gold cloaks to the search and turned up nothing; long after, Ser Jaime came to suspect that Lord Varys, who had stayed behind in the Red Keep that morning, had a hand in the snatching, and kept the boy alive for what a king's squire might have seen of Robert's death.
